LSAT Test

The Law School Admission Test, or LSAT, must be taken by students who are planning to attend law school after obtaining their undergraduate degree. The exam is administered only four times each year. The test consists of five sections plus a writing sample. The five sections are composed of multiple-choice questions in the areas of reading comprehension, analytical reasoning, logical reasoning, and a variable section. There are two sections devoted to logical reasoning. The variable section contains questions that will not count towards the student's score, but, rather, will help to assess the quality of questions for future exams. Students will not be able to distinguish which questions are real and which are part of the variable section.

Students can also learn more about registering for the LSAT. They can find information on the topics that are covered in the LSAT including logical reasoning, analytical reasoning, and reading comprehension.

Students should consult both the resources provided by the Law School Admission Council and the law school they plan to attend. It is important to understand the requirements for entering a prospective law school and the requirements for passing the LSAT before attempting to take the exam. Successful students will begin preparing for the LSAT far in advance.
